Foster Care Recruitment and Licensing Specialist

The Recruitment and Licensing Specialist works cooperatively with many social and community settings to identify potential foster families, provide comprehensive family assessment and to review and retain foster families.

The Recruitment and Licensing Specialist works a flexible schedule supporting families, connecting with community partners, and arranging training and support opportunities within the community.

The Recruitment and Licensing Specialist is a member of the intake team helping to accept referrals and match children with families, and carries a caseload to meet the current needs of the program.This position will work with the Unaccompanied Refugee Minors Program and the Division of Children Services.About the Company Ascentria Care Alliance employees and volunteers take pride in the impact they have on the people they serve.

This is an excellent opportunity to enhance the operations of a $120m non-profit social services organization with programs throughout New England.Responsibilities:Plan and implement foster care recruitment and retention events.Recruit qualified foster homes on a continual basis to meet the growing and challenging needs of clients.Evaluate potential foster families and conduct annual foster family reevaluations.Supervise and visit foster families monthly to ensure quality care for children in the home.Complete family assessments, and all aspects of the licensing and re-licensing process.Assess the foster home environment to ensure it is safe and meets all regulatory and contract requirements.Develop and maintain documentation including case plan, court orders and reports.Provide services as mandated by agency, state and federal laws and serve as advocate for TFC families and children at various community levels.Monitor the treatment plan to preserve and strengthen TFC families and children in order to provide permanency for children, including adoption or long-term foster care.Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or related field required.Minimum two (2) years of experience working with children and families required.Minimum of LSWA certification or eligibility to obtain within six (6) months of date of hire is required.Valid Driver’s License and proof of automobile insurance is required to transport clients in own vehicle throughout MA.Knowledge of federal, state and local regulations, protocols and/or procedures.Company BenefitsMedicalDentalVisionFSA and dependent care account3 Weeks PTO and 9 HolidaysTuition AssistanceAnd many moreAscentria Care Alliance celebrates diversity and is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
