– Employee RelationsKey leader in Employee Relations central department that supports over 70,000 Anthem associates across the US.

Manages and directs a team of Employee Relations (ER) Investigators and oversees investigations, department training and provides support and strategic direction to the broader team of ER Consultants and Specialists.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: Managing complex and highly sensitive department issues; overseeing the department investigation process; and ensuring that investigations are conducted based on investigative best practices and based on department SLAs.

Works with Legal Department and Ethics and Compliance Department on complex investigations and matters as required.

Responsible for evaluating and recommending changes to employee policies.

Evaluates policies and researches best practices related to employee relations issues and makes recommendations for policy changes.

Responsible for clarifying and implementing policies governing such issues as workplace conduct, equitable and consistent treatment of all associates, effective complaint resolution/investigation, problem resolution, performance management issues, ensuring fair employment practices and corrective action/performance improvement, compliance and audits.

Ensure that practices and policies are compliant and applied accordingly with all applicable employment and other laws and regulations governing employer/associate relationships for the enterprise population.

Develops and delivers training related to investigative processes, internal policies and best practices to all incoming and existing consultants and investigators.

Works in conjunction with ER Managers to analyze ER data to drive department strategic initiatives.

Hires, trains, coaches, counsels and evaluates performance of direct reports.

Supports Staff VP of ER in other department tasks as necessary.

Requires BS/BA degree and 8 years of experience in Human Resources and complex investigations, Employee Relations or other equivalent which would provide an equivalent background; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Employee Relations Investigative background is highly preferredPHR/SPHR, SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP preferred.
