• 2 years of experience in payroll operations for 25,000 employees
• Ability to establish and maintain accurate payroll and personnel records.
• Demonstrated proficient payroll processing ability
• Ability to work with highly confidential information with absolute discretion.
• Highly proficient With Microsoft Office Suite (including Word.
Excel.)
• Demonstrated understanding Of FSLA, California State Wage and Labor Code, INS and IRS regulations, and university policies and procedures
• Have the knowledge and experience With auditing I-g documents to ensure compliance With
Immigration Reform and Control Act (‘RCA) requirements
• Demonstrated knowledge/experience preparing and processing payroll documents for nonresident aliens in accordance with Federal INS and IRS regulations
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Ability to multi-task With strong skills on detail and accuracy.
• Team player, willing to assist if someone is out the office or needed.
• Flexibility to shift priorities as needed
• Ability to work independently and take initiative and anticipate needs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of staff and management.
Bachelors degree a plus
