Full-time position available NOW in North Central Connecticut on a 2600 cow dairy farm.
This person will ensure a high performing workplace and workforce that fosters a healthy, safe, and productive work environment by working in the barn, office or in the field with all parts of the dairy farm team and the community.
You must have some experience in agriculture, not be afraid to get dirty or work with cows, and also have experience creating a pool of potential employees, developing a recruitment program, helping onboarding new employees, overseeing all employee files, building a paperless employee tracking system, helping with employee development, updating employee handbook, helping administer employee benefits, understanding medical, vision, dental and life insurance, overseeing immigration paperwork, helping with employee training, reporting workers’ comp, developing and promoting clear protocols, helping with data entry, developing public relations and building culture, planning and coordinating company events, managing the farm’s social media sites, be bi-lingual in Spanish or willing to learn Spanish, thinking outside the box with new ideas and being open to feedback, planning, organizing, and prioritizing in an efficient manner, understanding process improvement and documenting and preparing reports relating to personnel activities (staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations).Benefits include health Insurance subsidized by company 1st of month after 60 days, 40 hours paid time off earned after 1 year, eligible to participate in 401-K program in July or January after 1 year
