How you will impact WestRock:

  • Collaborates with HR Business Partners on Hourly Recruiting to provide strategic support of business growth through workforce planning, position profiling, sourcing strategies, and consulting on selection & fit
  • Functions as an external employment market expert, advising on trends and availability of talent in identified markets as well as hiring needs and recruiting practices of talent competitors
  • Works with HR Business Partners to identify internal talent and assess qualifications against business needs and available external talent
  • Ensures presentation of diverse candidate slates for consideration and encourages strategic approaches for incorporating diversity in the search process
  • Effectively markets WestRock to candidates by providing compelling information about the company’s strategy, capabilities, performance, and employment value proposition
  • Responsible for creating a positive client experience through successful management of the interview and selection process, which includes facilitation of intake sessions, pre-interview calibrations, post-interview debriefs
  • Partners with teammates globally to facilitate sharing of regional knowledge and awareness of positions

Job Requirements:

What you need to succeed:

  • BA or BS degree in business, HR, or related field
  • 5+ years of talent acquisition experience in a corporate setting, ideally with a Fortune 500 company. Agency experience a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience managing recruitment for hourly and skilled trades roles
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing diversity recruiting strategies
  • Must possess strong business acumen and the ability to develop a deep understanding of strategic business priorities, success drivers in the organization, and understanding of the business model and functional operations
  • A broad understanding of various HR Delivery Models and ability to act as a steward to support various processes critical to the WestRock model
  • Ability to analyze data and synthesize research to make strategic recommendations balanced with sound judgment and ability to tailor solutions and tools appropriately to unique situations
  • Demonstrated facilitation skills
  • Proven client-orientation and strong client management skills
  • Strong process orientation
  • Ability to influence stakeholders, clients, and candidates
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
