Fairfax Ave.Los Angeles CA, 90036Job Title: Billing and Payroll GeneralistReports to: Billing and Payroll SpecialistJob Summary: Under the supervision of the Billing and Payroll Specialist, the Billing and Payroll Generalist is responsible for supporting timely and accurate billing and payroll functions; accounts receivable (A/R) management as well as supporting contract billing and invoicing.Responsibilities/Essential Functions: Follow established guidelines, policies, and procedures, and instructions laid out by the Billing and Payroll specialist as it relates to all areas of weekly Payroll and Billing processing for all caregiving staff, clients, and contracted programs.

Specific tasks may include but is not limited to the following:Assist each Monday with finalizing client and caregiver schedules and calendars in preparation for finalizing hours.Finalize all schedules, hours worked and payroll rates for each.Process clients’ invoices per contracts.Monitor Accounts receivable, when necessary contact delinquent payers for collection purposes.Responsible for taking collections and posting payments correctlyProvide appropriate answers to clients’ questions.Track and maintain contracted programs hours and process invoicing monthly for contracted accounts.Create and run payroll, billing and AR reports as needed using appropriate programs; ensure all records are properly maintained.Responsible for initiating and creating debit and credit memos.Problem solving re: invoice questions by carrying out relevant investigation.Ensure all incoming and outgoing mails are processed.Establish, calculate, maintain and process payroll for hourly Personal care Assistants every week.Operate and examine payroll register and reports, including time-off accruals to detect possible errors for correction.Process garnishments, child support orders, any other involuntary deductions for appropriate deduction and payment.Along with the HR Coordinator will provide agencies of state and federal governments needed payroll and billing information.Job Qualifications: College degree in related field preferred.1 year of Homecare and or accounts receivable experience preferred.Strong customer service orientation and effective telephone presence is required.Must have good organization skills and attention to detailAbility to develop a good rapport and communicate professionally with clients, staff and employees.Desire to work in a social service / “mission-driven” setting.Ability to maintain confidentiality.Strong computer skills in Outlook, Word, Excel and QuickBooks.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.Sitting for extended periods of time.Walking, standing, twisting and bending for brief periods of time.Reaching and/or grasping using hands and/or arms.Required to lift up to 10 pounds.Required to ascend/descend stairs.Regular use of hands requiring dexterity in using the telephone, computer keyboard, and mouse.Visual ability to read documents and computer monitor.Exposure to moderate noise levels characteristic of working in an office environment.Regularly required to talk and hear.This is a part-time non-exempt, positionCreated 6.9.21Job Type: Part-timePay: $20.00
