Providing our teams with reliable support from our experienced Regional Team allows them to efficiently and effectively deliver the exceptional care and services our residents and their families have come to expect.The Regional HR Director will provide multi-site support and guidance for a designated region of senior living communities in the following areas but not limited to:Recruitment & Retention, Employee Relations, Payroll, HR Compliance, Workers’ Compensation, Performance ManagementESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Serve as internal consultant to regional staff, corporate management, community leadership team, supervisors and employees on all human resources matters including serving as internal consultant and advisor/mediator in employee situations related to performance management Provide initial training and ongoing support for community HR staff to enable them to function as the HR subject matter expert and internal consultant for their community leadership team. Conduct payroll audits on a bi-monthly basis of each community in the region to ensure accuracy and compliance. Provide HR support when the HR position is vacant at the community Mitigate risks by ensuring company compliance with all federal, state and local laws related to employee benefits, compensation, employment and training. Remain current with changes in human resource and employment law and manage company relationships with state and local regulatory agencies. Optimize the workforce to meet community staffing needs Optimize recruitment & retention strategies Create a culture that fosters a high level of employee trust and engagement Review and approve corrective actions related to investigations and involuntary termination of employment to ensure consistency of policies and guidelines Ensure unemployment claims, hearings and appeals are responded to timely Respond to employee relation issues such as complaints, harassment allegations, and civil rights complaints; perform investigations as necessary and make recommendations for corrective action; respond to all Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Department of Fair Employment and Housing and/or similar type claims. Conduct periodic audits of human resource activities at the community level to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.OTHER DUTIES Develop, recommend, and implement Human Resource policies and procedures with Corporate HR review and approval Participate in management staff and regional meetings and attend other meetings and seminars Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.REQUIREMENTSMust be fully vaccinated for COVID19 and the fluBachelor’s Degree (preference to HR-related fields) Minimum of 7 years of professional HR experience, ideally from senior living industry, healthcare or hospitality environmentAbility to travel up to 75% of the timeExcellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent organizational skills and strong process orientation for developing policies and procedures Interpersonal skills, including ability to resolve disputes and observe confidentiality Proven skills with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new software packages as necessary Detail oriented, logical, and good problem solving skills Ability to engage, persuade, influence all organizational levels of employees Skilled at planning and managing multiple priorities Demonstrated capability to interface and maintain effective relationships with all departments and employees in team-oriented environment Ability to meet deadlines; accomplish work in order of priority; professionally maintain composure and effectiveness under pressure and changing conditions Ability to learn new duties and adjust to new situations encountered on the job within a reasonable amount of timeAbility to negotiate conflict and maintain constructive working relationships with people at all levels of an organization (both inside and outside the company)PREFERENCES A Master’s degree in Human Resources Management or Business Professional certification from SHRM and/or HCRI
