The Associate Director, Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) is an individual contributor role reporting to the Senior Director, Head of R HRBP responsible for supporting the Research, Early Development and Development Program Leader organizations.

As a HR business partner, this individual must demonstrate strong business acumen as well as functional knowledge of all aspects of human resource management.

In addition, this individual will be responsible for the design and execution of a number of projects.

As such, this individual should be highly skilled at working within a matrix environment and should possess exceptional skills in influencing others without authority.

Sample projects may include employee engagement surveys, employee on-boarding and development initiatives, change management activities and organizational effectiveness initiatives.

Summary of Key Responsibilities Provide strategic HR business support to the ReDev organization and its leadership team.

Partner with Research and Early Development business leaders in developing and executing the people components of the business strategy.

Own workforce planning for ReDev; create a talent roadmap and organizational design to achieve ReDev’s strategy and objectives; translate workforce needs into hiring plans to achieve desired outcomes.

Participate in the hiring process for key roles by partnering with Talent Acquisition and Total Rewards.

Be proactive in the assessment and development of senior ReDev leadership using Alnylam’s leadership competency model; support the talent development needs of employees across the ReDev organization.

Ensure robust onboarding plans are in place for senior leaders and ReDev new hires.

Partner with ReDev leadership in creating a work environment that enables all employees to thrive in line with Alnylam’s culture and values; support expertise area leaders in the roll-out of the corporate culture survey and in the diagnosis of employee engagement improvement opportunities.

Lead and ensure successful execution of all core HR processes including talent planning, performance management, compensation planning, and promotion review process for the ReDev organization.

Work with ReDev leadership to support the organizational effectiveness of teams and the roll out of department organizational initiative .

Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred.

Biotech or pharma industry experience within R strongly preferred; global experience strongly preferred.

8 year’s HR or business experience in positions of increasing responsibility.

Successful track record of partnering with client groups.

Dynamic and creative HR leader who can coach senior leaders, advise on organization design, and create robust talent planning strategy.

Ability to design and execute project plans, identifying interdependencies and incorporating related communication/change management plans.

Experience in influencing without authority and stakeholder management.

Strong points of view on how to scale culture including best practices in team dynamics, working in a matrix design, and ensuring organizational values are realized.

Strong partner to Talent Acquisition and other HR specialty areas to drive creative HR programs and solutions.

Excellent execution skills and the ability to translate HR strategy into actionable initiatives.

Strong consultation skills and the ability to influence at all levels is essential.

Experience in dynamic, high growth environments.

Ability to work as part of collaborative HR team.
