A global leader of grain products manufactuer is actively seeking an experienced Facility Manager who can oversee their grain processing facility near the Detroit international airport.The ideal candidate will have 2 years experience in Facility Management in the food industry.This position is full-time and Exempt with a great benefit package including 401K.Facility Manager Responsibilities: Lead/support plans to improve quality systems and facility structuresInitiate and approve purchase requisitions for processing supplies, equipment and servicesBe actively involved in developing a budget and delivering results against that budgetComplete regulatory compliance related documentation & proceduresFollow all OSHA, ANSI, NFPA, EPA standards for optimal operations for the facilityReport to management and headquarter Perform other duties as required Facility Manager Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree or higherAt least 2 years of related experience in operations/facility management in a food manufacturing settingPrevious experience in the hiring, termination, discipline and performance appraisals for those employees directly reporting to the position in accordance with company policyMust have knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations and standards (knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen principles is a plus)Leadership, strategic, responsible, and goal orientedThis position includes working in a manufacturing and/or warehousing work environment.

While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, lift in excess of 50 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear.

You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
