The Operating Room RN is responsible for working with surgeons in the OR. Operating Room Registered Nurses will prep the room and the patient for surgery and make positive that all equipment is sterile and operating correctly.
Responsibilities:
OR RN duties consist of:
- Assessing the well being of the patient before, during and after the procedure.
- Predict the needs of the surgeons and provide medical instruments and supplies to them during operations.
- Gathering and logging all items needed for lab work.
Requirements
One year of experience as an OR Nurse within the past two years.
- Current RN License in good standing.
- Up to date BLS through American Heart Association.
- Negative Drug Screen.
