JOB OVERVIEWPorters will work to help the BOH execute a smooth workplace through dish and equipment upkeep. The ideal candidate will be excited to be a part of the team and to uphold the Milk Bar standards and valuesJOB RESPONSIBILITIES* Knowledge and comfort operating all kitchen equipment including high-heat dishwasher* Following up and completing daily prep list within the given shift time* Proper attire including porter shirt, apron, hairnet, and closed-toed shoes is required* Maintain a clean station while working that is up to HD code/standard* Work closely with kitchen and distribution/fulfillment teams to assist with daily tasks* Complete daily dish tasks including:* Receive and assist in putting away all incoming deliveries* Break down cardboard and dispose of* Maintain the organization of the trash areas* Take out trash and compost bins, move dumpsters* Maintain cleanliness of the assigned areas, such as:* Bathrooms* Locker rooms* General prep/production areas* Walk-ins and dry storage areas* Triple sink, dish area, and smallwares* Carts and speed racks* Fully understand and exhibit the Milk Bar ethos, embody our core values, inspire celebration and create real magic. Serve as a brand ambassador, both internally and externally.Other duties may arise from time to time and may be assigned to you long-term or short-term.SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS* Comfortable working in a fast paced and high energy environment* Must possess thoroughness and time management skills* Able to take constructive criticism, learn quickly and constantly improve* Related experience preferred* Team-oriented mindset with an ability to adapt* Perform the physical elements of the job (lift 25-50 lbs)
