Position Overview:

As the Kitchen Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of quality, consistency, and efficiency. You will lead a team of culinary professionals, fostering a positive work environment and inspiring creativity and innovation. The Kitchen Manager will collaborate closely with the executive chef and other department heads to deliver exceptional dining experiences that exceed guest expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, motivate, and mentor kitchen staff to achieve excellence in food quality, presentation, and service.

  • Manage kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, plating, and sanitation, in accordance with health and safety standards.

  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures to optimize efficiency and productivity.

  • Monitor food costs, inventory levels, and waste to maximize profitability while maintaining quality.

  • Collaborate with the executive chef to create seasonal menus, special event menus, and daily specials.

  • Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen.

  • Conduct regular training sessions to enhance culinary skills and foster a culture of continuous learning and development.

  • Manage scheduling, staffing, and performance evaluations for kitchen staff.

  • Handle guest inquiries, feedback, and complaints promptly and professionally.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager or similar leadership role in a high-volume kitchen environment, preferably in a boutique hotel or upscale restaurant.

  • Strong culinary skills and knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.

  • Understanding of food safety regulations and sanitation best practices.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and kitchen management software is a plus.

  • Culinary degree or certification is preferred.
