Job description:  
A private family in Los Angeles, CA seeks an experienced and detail-oriented Housekeeper to assist with the maintenance of their private estate. The ideal candidate will be a team player, with a “can-do” and upbeat attitude, and experience working in a formal private home setting. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
  • Full-charge housekeeping responsibilities; museum-quality cleaning of residence working alongside other household staff and report directly to support the Executive Housekeeper
  • Laundry and ironing of clothing and linens, caring for fine garments, travel packing/unpacking
  • Checking the house on the weekends when the family is away, and occasional overnight house sitting are part of the job as needed.
  • Hand-on care of expensive art and antiques
  • Maintaining household inventory organization (closets, pantries, cabinets, etc.)
  • Hands-on care for furniture; polishing fine surfaces
  • Silver care & maintenance
  • Assisting with special dinners and events
  • Handling special requests, errands and related duties as needed
  • Assist with meal preparation, as needed by principals
  • Providing excellent service to principals and guests
  • Occasional pet care
Schedule: Schedule varies, must have flexibility to work 40-50 hours and occasional weekend support
Salary: Depends on experience

Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years related work experience in a private residence
  • Utmost sense of confidentiality and discretion
  • Must be extremely tech-savvy: computers & phone
  • Excellent references from current and previous employers 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal (English)
  • Professional, polished, and poised at all times
  • Hands-on with good attitude, high energy, strong work ethic and an attention to detail
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills
  • Flexibility in schedule with availability to work overtime and weekends as needed
  • Valid US work authorization
  • Valid Driver’s License
