Job Description: Raytheon Intelligence and Space Systems is seeking an Engineering Fellow to support multiple programs in El Segundo, CA.
The selected candidate will be a subject matter expert for the worst case circuit analysis (WCCA) for electronics in space applications.
The position requires a thorough understanding of WCCA engineering with an in-depth understanding of RF circuit design (including systems), worst case analysis, RF hardware prototyping/fabricating as well as associated best practice tools and processes and a demonstrated ability to mentor and develop younger engineers in these areas.
The engineer in this position must be able to develop requirements, lead trade studies and evaluate supplier proposals and data and interface with the customer community.
They are expected that the candidate will work across Product Lines and Business Units as dictated by the critical needs of the Enterprise.
Additionally, the candidate will seek out and establish apprenticeships to enable a teaching culture at RI&S and be responsible for mentoring and WCCA knowledge transfer.
Required Skills: Minimum of 14 years of experience in electrical design and analysis of space hardware Expert knowledge of RF circuit design and requirements for delivering space hardware for Class A missions Proven ability to lead design teams in developing new processes, standards, and techniques for performing WCCA and working with customers to generate and refine requirements Experience with conceptual design and development trades for new business proposals for space hardware Must possess strong interpersonal skills including the ability to influence senior level decision makers both within and external to the company In depth knowledge of industry best practices for the delivery of space hardware Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to convey highly technical material in a clear and concise format to a general audience US Citizenship is required Ability to obtain DoD or SSBI Security Clearance Desired Skills: Skill in applying failure root cause analysis to derive practical engineering solutions.
Record of innovation including peer reviewed technical publications, white papers, and patents.
Experience in program management.
Experience teaching or preparing course material related to mechanisms or mechanical systems Working knowledge of governmental or commercial customer community for moving mechanical assemblies Active DoD Top Secret clearance Prior experience in Defense or Aerospace Prior experience in Space Systems Required Education: Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics Desired Education: PhD in Electrical Engineering or Physics This position requires either a U.S.
