As a dishwasher you are responsible for showing up at your scheduledshift on time and in a clean, full uniform.
This uniform must include a hat, chef shirtand apron.
In addition to this, you must have an up to date food handler’s card andfollow proper sanitation guidelines at all times when working in the kitchen.Requirements as dishwasher (not limited to and subject to change)As a dishwasher, you are one-if not THE most
– important employee of the kitchen.
Itis your responsibility to clean all the dishes in the restaurant and keeping the flow ofcleaning dishes constantly moving.
Other responsibilities include: taking out thetrash, putting away dry storage deliveries, keeping the dumpster area clean, keepingthe loading dock clean and maintained and doing any other tasks the chef on dutyasks of you.You are also responsible for maintaining a clean station, cleaning out thedishwasher at the end of your shift, ensuring the dish pit is clean and free of debris,all kitchen tools are hanging and all trash cans in the kitchen have been taken to thedumpster.Dishwashers will attempt in every way to further the interests of the restaurant.This includes those items listed specifically above, but also the myriad of smalldetails that arise in a daily work environment.
The Dishwasher understands andaccepts that this vigilance should be not only physical and mental, but in attitude aswell.
Wherever specific goals or tasks are involved, the Dishwasher must makeevery effort to attain or complete them, and to report to his/her superior with theresults and any comments or suggestions that might improve this process in thefuture.Work fluctuates between indoors and outdoors.
