Dishwasher

ATLA, an Enrique Olvera project moving to the west coast is currently seeking experienced Dishwashers to join their opening team.

Task and Responsibilities

  • Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots and pans.
  • Operate dishwashing and other kitchen cleaning equipment.
  • Place clean dishes, utensils, or cooking equipment in storage areas.
  • Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, or utensils in clean and orderly condition.
  • Stock supplies, such as food or utensils, in serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators.
  • Maintain safety and cleanliness of service areas; sweep and scrub floors, clean garbage cans with water, sort and remove trash – placing it in designated pickup areas
  • Test and document dish machine temperature and sanitizer daily
  • Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment and follow OSHA standards. 
  • Adhere to closing duties such as cleaning chairs and tables; sweeping and/or vacuuming floors; removing trash and recyclables.
  • Responsible for bringing dirty plates and glassware to the dishwasher station in an organized manner
  • Receive and store food and supplies using proper food handling techniques including stock rotation and monitoring temperatures of perishable products
  • Assist in routine cleaning of equipment and implements, sanitizing food preparation surfaces, and mopping floors
  • Maintain a hygienic and safe environment at all times.
  • Perform inventory responsibilities daily.
  • Report the breakage, loss or theft of any restaurant property
  • Update job knowledge by participating in staff training opportunities.
  • Adhere to all company procedures as it pertains to personal appearance, attendance and conduct
  • Follow and complete daily checklists for opening and closing side work duties.
  • Act with integrity, honesty and knowledge to promote company culture.

Physical Demands

Requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 50 pounds, bending and reaching, stooping, using fingers and hands, kneeling, or crouching.

 

Position Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous stewarding experience required or equivalent training
  • Experience in food and hospitality industry preferred
  • Ability to work a variable schedule, including weekends, and shifts from morning through late night

Compensation: Hourly ($16.78+ Tips)
