DIRECTOR OF PLANT MAINTENANCE

JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Director of Plant Maintenance

Reports to: Administrator

Principal Responsibilities:

TECHNICAL
Ensures a safe, comfortable, sanitary environment for residents, staff and visitors in accordance with
Federal, State and Corporate requirements.
Performs preventative maintenance procedures.
Requires full range of body motion.
ADMINISTRATIVE
Maintains equipment necessary to meet Center needs.
Understands department budget.
Maintains written records and documents of services performed according to Federal, Sate and Corporate requirements.
May train personnel to meet Center needs.
Participates in assigned meetings and in-services.
QUALIFICATIONS
One year experience in a long term care center preferred
Ability to read and write English for business necessity
Ability to perform basic electrical, plumbing and carpentry repairs
One year experience in basic trades preferred
Working knowledge of plant support systems (cooling/heating, emergency systems) preferred
CONSUMER SERVICE
Presents professional image to consumers through dress, behavior and speech.
Adheres to company standards for resolving consumer concerns.
Ensures that all consumer/resident rights are protected.
