McKesson is currently seeking a VP, PRO.
McKesson and Health Mart are seeking a Vice President, Pharmacy Retail Operations (VP, PRO) who will be responsible for the promotion and execution of pharmacy and healthcare services to Health Mart franchisees and McKesson pharmacies.
The VP, PRO Identifies growth opportunities and collaborates with internal and external stakeholders as needed. This role serves as a resource for the field sales teams and plays a lead role on key region initiatives and priorities. The VP, PRO works with various stakeholders within the healthcare system to address/understand/discuss complex reimbursement systems, pharmacy workflow and efficiencies, front of store retail strategies and other business approaches for retail pharmacy.
Candidates must have a thorough knowledge of retail pharmacy operations along with excellent project management, critical thinking, analytical skills, and proven ability to drive implementation and execution across a large geography. Proven leadership and strategic vision capabilities along with solid industry presence is desired. Ability to communicate at all levels within the organization across business units. Ability to manage through influence and work cross functionally within the organization to drive results. Must be able to operate successfully with a high level of autonomy.
Key Responsibilities

Define and drive Health Mart and McKesson field and pharmacy engagement by ensuring improved financial, clinical, and operational performance.

Serve as the primary strategy leader to determine educational needs of field teams, buying groups and pharmacies on Health Mart and McKesson programs, initiatives, and the global retail pharmacy marketplace.

Ensures flawless execution and compliance of Health Mart and McKesson programs and franchise requirements within assigned region.

Acts as an advisor, pharmacy advocate, consultant, and business coach to store owners.

Provides mentoring and coaching support to sales team members.
-
Facilitates training to pharmacies and field sales teams.
-
Provides pharmacy industry thought leadership and clinical and retail expertise.

Serves as a Health Mart spokesperson on specialized projects or programs and solutions.

Acts as prime consultant on large projects that affect the McKesson and Health Marts long-term goals and objectives.
Critical Skills
-
10+ years experience in retail, pharmacy operations (chain or independent).

Advanced knowledge of retail operations management and experience leading retail operational teams.

Exemplary communication skills (verbal/written).

Must have strong ability to influence and motivate.
Preferred Skills

Understanding of retail pharmacy systems.

Third-party management experience.

Pharmacy clinical practices knowledge.

Knowledge of federal and state pharmacy laws and regulations.

Business acumen must have ability to foster innovation and collaboration.
Minimum Requirements & Education

Degree or equivalent and typically requires 10+ years of relevant experience.

Less years required if has relevant Masters or Doctorate qualifications.

Degree in pharmacy (PharmD), nursing, or a licensed advanced practice provider is ideal.

MBA or advanced degree is strongly preferred.

Territory will include cities in California & in the Pacific Northwest.

Ability to travel for store visits, meetings, and industry related conferences.

$126,300 – $210,500
