The Lead/Supervisor develops policies and procedures and implements the hospital and laboratory standard operating procedures to ensure safe laboratory practices.

Responsible for training new employees, evaluating employee performance, ensuring workload organization, and monitoring daily maintenance and quality control.EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum of five years related work experience in histologyKnowledge of medical terminologyExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to prioritize, focus and effectively communicate and work with staff and managementEDUCATION:Bachelor’s degree in science or health administrationLICENSURES/CERTIFICATION:Must successfully complete and maintain LA City Fire Card certification at the time of hire or within the first 30 days of employmentHistotechnician HT (ASCP) or Histotechnologist HTL (ASCP)DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (These are the essential job functions for this position.
