Employment Status:Full Time (72-80 Hours Per Pay Period)Job Category:NursingJOB SUMMARY:The Clinical Nurse Manager is accountable for the day-to-day management of the area(s) assigned.

S/he will strive to achieve the optimal patient experience in a cost-effective manner,while applying evidenced-based leadership and practice.

The Clinical Manager is responsible for the provision of safe patient care, in a manner that is consistent with the professional standards and hospital policies.

S/he will role model performance and behaviors that are consistent with the values of the organization, furthering its mission, vision and strategic plan.EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum three (3) years of acute care clinical nursing experience, including minimum of one (1) year of management/supervisory experienceIn Perioperative Services must have completed a minimum of 2 years and 2,400 hours of experience in perioperative nursing, with a minimum of 50% (1,200 hours) in the intraoperative setting.EDUCATION:Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Nursing (BSN) or other health-care related fieldMasters Degree in Nursing (MSN) or other health-care related field required as of April 2016 (new hires).LICENSURES/CERTIFICATION:Current licensure with the California Board of Registered NursingMust successfully complete and maintain BLS certificationMust successfully complete and maintain LA City Fire Card certification at the time of hire or within the first 30 days of employmentSee last page for additional unit-specific departmental certification requirementsDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (These are the essential job functions for this position.
