The ideal candidate should have at minimum a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.(br /((br /(*Occupational Therapist
– OT*(br /(* 2022-2023 school year(br /(* Full time | Monday-Friday | 37.5 Hours/Week(br /(* Great school district with supportive staff!(br /(* Must have an Arizona State Occupational license and Fingerprint Clearance Card or be willing to obtain(br /(* Out of state Occupational Therapists and new grads are welcome to apply!(br /((br /(*Responsibilities of a School Occupational Therapist: *(br /(* In a school setting, an occupational therapist works with students to facilitate full access and success in their learning environment.

Occupational Therapists work with children who have fine motor delays, handwriting issues, self-care deficits, and sensory difficulties which interfere with their access to the school curriculum.

This often includes working with the teacher to modify the classroom and/or adapt learning materials to help the student successfully participate.(br /(* Occupational therapists also treat injured, ill, or disabled patients through the therapeutic use of everyday activities.

They help these patients develop, recover, improve, as well as maintain the skills needed for daily living and working.(br /(* Evaluate students using district-approved evaluation instruments and complete an evaluation report following district guidelines.(br /(* Provide occupational therapy services to individual students; consult with teachers, staff and parents on classroom interventions and techniques.(br /(* Attend ARD/IEP meetings and complete ARD/IEP documentation in the district approved web-based ARD/IEP program(br /(* Maintain accurate and complete data of services provided and student progress as required by the district.

Follow guidelines for documentation and reporting of services for the basis of Medicaid reimbursement through the School Health and Related Services program.
