Job Description Role overview As a Pharmacy Technician you will be a trusted advisor who helps employees and their families with any issue related to healthcare from getting the right care when they need it to understanding how to get the most from their health care benefits.

As a Pharmacy Technician you will work to provide your colleague’s accurate and timely solutions to their clients’ problems, assist in improving our pharmacy coverage, content and processes.

This job requires critical thinking, creative problem solving and the consistent application of discretion and good judgment, as well as a high degree of organization.

A day in the life… Handle benefits, coverage and claims questions, including understanding the root cause of the issue.

Listen, assess, and comprehend clients’ presenting issue(s) and use judgment and problem solving to take appropriate action Handle pharmacy claim disputes at client’s request Educate colleagues on benefit coverage design (e.g., deductible, out-of-pocket costs, co-pays) for specific treatment options.

Comply with Company and HIPAA guidelines.

Batch and organize the Health Assistants complex pharmacy claims and work with pharmacy plans for timely and accurate solutions.

Develops solid working relationship and processes with pharmacy plans.

Provides colleagues with timely and accurate solutions to their client’s complex pharmacy problems.

Evaluate clients’ claims and care needs and make recommendations on changes or additions to appropriate programs.

Recognize and prioritize opportunities to engage AHA’s to help clients make better health care decisions by presenting all options available to them Able to do all of the above in a telephonic and collaborative environment with colleagues.

Qualifications What we are looking for… Certified Pharmacy Technician is preferred.

A thorough understanding of the medication delivery system through a retail pharmacy setting or previous experience with pharmacy benefits from a payor side is preferred.

This must be coupled with the ability to be flexible and open to change since Accolade’s philosophy and operations are so different from these traditional settings.

Solid technical skills.

Previous experience in a Health Assistant related role Ability to engage others by being a good listener with a solid capacity for empathy.
