Position Summary: Provides operational and clinical supervision for a work area or unit.

Provides front-line supervision to staff while on the unit.

Collaborates with the Manager to implement plans addressing performance improvement, quality improvement, advancement of care delivery, and customer/staff satisfaction.

Serves as a work area leader and develops systems to ensure efficient workflow and collaborative relationships with physicians and other members of the interprofessional team.

Maintains open communication with manager regarding patients, family, personnel and departmental issues.

Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience: 3-5 years of experience in pediatrics preferred.

Expert clinical knowledge of units patient population.

Ability to lead others.

Good organizational skills.

Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully, both verbally and in writing.

Education/Licensure/Certification: Baccalaureate degree and California licensure in respective discipline required.

For nursing: California RN License, Current CPR and PALS Card.

National Certification Required
