As the Sr.
Medical Director, GI TA, you will lead and shape the development, implementation and management of the medical strategy for the gastroenterology programs.
In this high profile role, you will drive the medical strategy, impacting significant internal cross-functional meetings, meet with experts in disease areas, and engage with a number of external and internal stakeholders in high-level scientific conversations regarding assigned products in compliance to all regulatory and legal requirements.
This role will provide you with the opportunity to be part of an innovative team that will launch a first to market microbiome product.
What you will do:
• Create tactical plans for his/her area of responsibility aligned with strategic imperatives
• Manage and implement assigned programs and tactics to deliver against established strategies
• Assist in integrating plans for assigned programs and tactics into the overall education plan for Ser-109 and Zenpep and other subsequent GI therapies
• Lead and coach a professional medical team of 4
• Develop and apply strong knowledge of data from Ser-109 and Zenpep trials and existing GI references
• Effectively translate scientific, clinical, market research and stakeholder interaction data into promotional and educational strategies, messaging and tactical planning
• Communicate and collaborate with multiple functions across the organization, including clinical, medical affairs, marketing and sales and serve as a key project team member on cross-functional projects, often with high visibility within the organization
• Develop and deliver presentations to a range of internal and external audiences including senior leadership, KOL, community physicians etc.
• Lead the planning and execution of educational activities at key scientific congresses
• Lead research collaborations with key GI centers
• Medical reviewer at Promotional & Medical Review Committees
• Accountable for the execution of medical advisory boards as needed
• Provide leadership and support to the medical affairs team
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations and policies
What you will have:
• MD, MD/PhD, or PharmD with combined relevant clinical experience
• A recognized thought leader in the areas of GI, Infectious Disease or ideally in microbiome or Enzyme Replacement Therapy.
• Minimum 5-10+ years combination of clinical, industry and academic experience specifically as it pertains to Medical Science, Medical Communication, Medical Education in GI, Infectious Disease and/ or microbiome is preferred
• Clinical Trial experience required
• Proven leadership and management skills with the ability to adapt and collaborate at all levels of the organization including working in co-partnership with another pharmaceutical company
• Experience in supporting and managing key strategic and tactical executions for US communications/education
• Demonstrated understanding of pharmaceutical legal and regulatory requirements and impact on development of medical education and communications
• Experience with cross-functional review committees and presenting to senior leadership
• Resides in a major metropolitan city
• Travel flexibilities where business needs are required
