Primary Responsibilities:
Positions in this function will be responsible for researching and investigating key business problems through quantitative analyses of utilization and healthcare costs data.

Develop and improve quantitative data analytics and set performance targets.

The main responsibilities will include: Lead projects to completion by contributing to database creation, statistical modeling and financial reports Potentially manage and lead a team of analysts
– own and deliver sophisticated analytic deliverables.

Client facing, regularly meet and work with client to drive actionable reporting Interpret and analyze clinical data from various sources and recommend best approaches Create and update automated processes Analyze reporting tools to investigate sources of variations Produce and review reports Well-developed understanding of epidemiologic, pharmacoeconomic, and health services research design and methods, including the various methods of economic evaluation Proficient in the application of advanced statistics to evaluate economic, clinical and humanistic outcomes.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in epidemiology, biostatistics, pharmacoeconomics, health services research, economics, health economics, public health or a related quantitative discipline 5+ Experience with SAS or SQL 5+ years of experience with healthcare data and healthcare business 5+ years of experience with data reporting and analysis Advanced Excel skills If you need to enter a work site for any reason, you will be required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener.

When in a UnitedHealth Group building, employees are required to wear a mask in common areas.

Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in epidemiology, biostatistics, pharmacoeconomics, health services research, economics, health economics, public health or a related quantitative discipline Intermediate to Advanced VBA skills Advanced reporting skills using software like Tableau, Cognos, Futrix Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Colorado Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $79,700 to $142,600.

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.
