Job Summary Member of the Safety Team with responsibilities of developing, revising, training, implementing, and providing oversight of health, safety programs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide field Health & Safety support to refinery operations, maintenance, and project personnel Inspection/testing of emergency response equipment Health & Safety auditing Improving Health & Safety compliance, risk identification and prioritization across the facility Issuing EH&S Work Permits outside operating units Guiding the organization in meeting or exceeding internal and/or external regulatory requirements Improving compliance assurance of Health & Safety programsoversight, self-assessment and auditing Maintaining working knowledge of new developments in the industry and government regulations Member of the Emergency Response Team Assist in the management of BWOs Active Learner software Assist in the development/revision of training modules as needed Assist in the training of New Hires/Contractors/Carriers Assist in the development, revision, and review of Health & Safety policies & procedures Participation in PHAs Participation in incident investigations Experience Requirements 5 years of experience in a Petroleum Refinery or Petrochemical Plant Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Strong interpersonal and organizational skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Critical thinking skills and good judgment Ability to self-direct, multi-task, and set and achieve performance objectives
