Responsibilities of the RN Nurse Manager Medical Surgical Med-Surg Oversee daily nursing operation for the Cardiac and Neuro Medical Surgical Unit Report to Director of Nursing and carries our mission, vision and values of the hospital Implement training, coaching and mentoring to improve quality outcomes, patient satisfaction and nurse retention Train and onboard new medical surgical nursing staff Practice compassionate, evidence-based patient care Develop patient care plans and monitor patient progress Work to improve patient care and safety standards across the cardiac heart care and neurological unit Knowledgeable in evidence-based nursing practices for cardiovascular care, heart failure, coronary, myocardial and neurological treatments Requirements for the RN Nurse Manager Medical Surgical Med-Surg BSN Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required MSN Master’s Degree in Nursing preferred 3 years cardiac nursing experience required Nurse Management experience preferred National Certification preferred ACLS preferred CPR and BLS Current RN Nursing license in the state of Massachusetts Why You’ll Love It: Competitive pay Union position Full benefit package: 401(k) contributions, health insurance, PTO and vacation Opportunities for growth
