Part of our Front Line Care business, and centered at our St.
Paul, Minnesota location, Hillrom’s Respiratory Health products include The Vest® airway clearance system, Monarch® Airway Clearance System, Volara® / MetaNeb® OLE System(s), Synclara® / VitalCough® MI-E system(s) and the wearable non-invasive ventilation technology Life2000®.
With a focus on both the acute care and home care markets we market and bill for reimbursement of medical devices that assist with mobilizing secretions that may contribute to, or complicate, respiratory conditions.
The Area Vice President Respiratory Health leads and directs a team of Acute Care Specialists (ACS) & Acute Care Clinical Sales Specialists (CSS) responsible for achieving annual sales revenue targets and product sales goals related to acute care sales of our respiratory products.
The AVP is expected to achieve sales growth objectives, create and maintain key customer relationships, and meet or exceed targeted profitability for their region.
The AVP will also be responsible for effective hiring, performance management and coaching of direct reports, while meeting targets related to expenses.
HOME BASE: Southern California (LA or San Diego) or Dallas or Houston
TERRITORY: Texas and the states up North the coast to Washington, over to Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, parts of Kansas and Okalahoma and the states in between
* Regional travel as necessary to support the needs of the business (approximately 50%
– 75% travel, including overnight travel)
BASIC FUNCTION AND RESPONSIBILITY:
Meets, if not exceeds, regional sales quotas
Develops comprehensive, annual strategic regional plans for management review
Develops and manages sales activities for the region, guided by goals and objectives of the Respiratory Health (RH) division, as well as the policies and objectives of the RH sales organization
Manages a total team of 10; 7 Acute Care Specialists & 3 Clinical Specialists
Partners with peer AVP’s, RVP and Sales VP to drive development of divisional sales policies, procedures and strategies
Cultivates and develops strong relationships with internal operations, finance, human resources and other support functions to maximize profitability and efficiencies
Meets administrative expectations; understands and adheres to all company and regulatory/compliance policies and procedures
Participates in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance Hillrom processes, products and services
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree is required; Master’s degree preferred
8-10 years demonstrated experience as a top level sales performer in medical device market
3-5 years experience in sales management / leadership role
Demonstrated experience in effectively hiring, developing and managing the performance of a remote sales team
Valid driver’s license required
