We are currently seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Joint, Spine and Bariatric Surgical/Telemetry department $30,000 New Sign On Bonus eligible Our Surgical/Telemetry Unit is a 15-bed unit focused on providing a high level of direct and individualized care to treat patients with a variety of general and specialized surgical procedures, including orthopedic, bariatric, urology, and cardiac.
Job Duties: Evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements and documents nursing care Assists physicians during examinations and procedures Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse Promotes patients’ independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills Relies on experience and judgment to perform a variety of tasks and accomplish goals Minimum Requirements: Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited RN program.
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Texas, or license with a compact state required upon hire American Heart Association (AHA) approved Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire.
