The Trauma Nurse Coordinator participates in clinical rounds, monitors and measures the quality and timeless of care provided by physicians, nurses and other healthcare providers for injured patients throughout the continuum of care.

The Trauma Nurse Coordinator will facilitate and coordinate quality assurance/improvement activities, from pre-hospital care through discharge and rehabilitation.

The Trauma Nurse Coordinator’s role is structured to facilitate interaction with all units and disciplines involved with trauma care.

The Trauma Nurse Coordinator is a valuable resource for staff development as an expert clinician as well as a resource to organizations and systems in improving quality and conserving resources.
