Registered Nurse RN – Clinical Trials Infusion Nurse

Job Description This is a travel position providing clinical trial infusions to patents within their homes. Expect 3-4 overnights per week. .Eligible candidates will live in California within one hour of a major airport. Responsible for serving as an expert in clinical case management of patients participating in clinical trials to ensure the integrity and quality of clinical trials are conducted in accordance with study protocols and Coram policies and procedures.- Administers investigation product, performs patient assessment during study visit to determine change in clinical condition, and notifies the principal investigator of findings based on study protocol. Performs assessment, therapy administration, and coordination of care. Ensures compliance with each study’s protocol using Good Clinical and Good Documentation Practices while accurately completing visit procedures and collection of information from patients.- Provides highly specialized education and teaching to patients and caregivers enrolled in clinical trials per the study protocol to ensure understanding of proper medication, investigation product handling, and storage of medical/trial supplies based on guidelines provided by the study protocol and the Clinical Trials team.- Participates in the development of protocol-specific educational materials for clinical trials based on the study protocol to support training of the nursing team.- Attends and participates in meetings held by the Clinical Trials team, sponsors, and Clinical Research Organization and seminars held by organizations supportive of clinical trials.- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.Required Qualifications- Registered Nurse with current licensure in state of California with ability to obtain additional licensure for multi state service area – Minimum three years of clinical nursing experience.- Minimum one year of experience in managing patients enrolled in clinical trials.- Work experience in infusion therapy, home care, and patient education.- Excellent customer service and presentation skills.- Strong communications and time management skills.- Proficient in Microsoft Office software – Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.- Ability to travel up to 80%.- – Have and maintain current CPR certification.- Valid driver’s license and automobile insuranceCOVID RequirementsCOVID-19 Vaccination RequirementCVS Health requires certain colleagues to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (including any booster shots if required), where allowable under the law, unless they are approved for a reasonable accommodation based on disability, medical condition, religious belief, or other legally recognized reasons that prevents them from being vaccinated.
