REGISTERED NURSE, (RN), CARDIOLOGY, PIH HEALTH Physicians, Los Angeles, Fulltime, days

This position is responsible and accountable for providing nursing care in the Cardiology Department, along with being responsible and accountable for providing nursing care in the Cardiac Rehabilitation and Cardiac Cath Lab   departments.

Required Skills
Interpretation of cardiac arrhythmias.

Knowledge of diagnostic tests and their preparations.

Knowledge and experience with administering of IV and PO drugs and their possible adverse reactions.

Competent with patient evaluation, physical assessment, and interviewing techniques.

Knowledge in the legal aspects of nursing.

Successfully passing safety, cultural sensitivity, and blood pathogen classes.

Knowledge and experience with conscious sedation medications and their reversal agents.

Knowledge and demonstrated skill using special equipment such as monitors, infusion pumps, temporary pacemakers, O2 equipment, SPO2 monitors, EKG machines, defibrillators, etc.

Required Experience

Required:

 

Graduated from an approved School of Nursing.

Current license as a Registered Nurse in  California.

BCLS and ACLS certification.

Minimum of two (2) years experience in a Cardiovascular unit.

Demonstrates teaching ability in a formal and/or informal setting.

Korean Speaking

 

Preferred:

 

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Two year experience in the ICU.
