Continuously evaluates and monitors clinic flow to ensure an efficient patient visit. Key staff role in the technological implementation of all components of the medical practice Effectively manages patient flow throughout the clinic; takes action(s) necessary to maintain smooth patient flow and informs clinicians regarding issues affecting the ability to deliver timely patient care within industry standards. Maintain an operating environment that assures effective, efficient, safe operation of the clinic and respond to the patients and clinicians needs. Maintains a system for expeditious communication of patient information within the clinic including responsiveness to patient calls, incoming reporting of abnormal laboratory results, and patient transfer information. Participates in the planning, development, delivery, evaluation and systems improvement process of the delivery of patient care; recommends changes as needed. Supervises clinical nursing services including laboratory functions and specialty referrals. Identifies training needs of staff and collaborates with Director of Nursing to develop and implement appropriate training programs and opportunities to ensure a skilled and knowledgeable staff. Monitors the appropriate completion of daily billing encounter form. Performs direct nursing patient care including patient assessments, triage, and other nursing clinical duties that include assessment, and clinical management. Provides leadership for the medical program in integrating new technology including but not limited to software equipment and an EHR. May be the lead manager on a grant funded program and may be asked to assist with the development of a proposal, planning implementation and meeting the requirements of the grant and meeting deliverables. Position Requirements: A valid RN license issued by the State of California. Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing w/a valid, current CA Registered Nurse license to practice Two years clinical experience as a Registered Nurse, with a minimum of one year of experience in the clinical area assigned. Prior administrative and supervisory experience in an outpatient family practice, internal medicine, pediatrics clinic is preferred. Working knowledge of direct outpatient care and management methods and practices in a community clinic setting or similar health care facility and manage clinic nursing services to achieve the delivery of efficient, quality patient care services. Basic knowledge of local, state and federal regulations relating to care of patients in a clinic setting; and prior experience with county, Covid19 vaccination required as a condition of employment as required by State law.
