As a Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery:

  • Responsible and accountable for the nursing process and the delivery of patient care.
  • Make clinical judgments and carry out related nursing intervention without supervision.
  • Apply clinical knowledge regarding standard pattern of care to consolidate interventions for time and cost savings.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of regulatory requirements in patient assignment making delegation of tasks and documentation.
  • Responsible for care for the patient and delivery team.
  • Provide a dedication to customer service
  • Ability to meet the needs and expectation of patients and health care colleagues.

Education:

  • Completion of certified nursing program, BSN preferred

Licenses/Certifications:

  • A Valid California Registered Nurse License
  • ACLS & NRP from American Heart Association or American Red Cross required

Experience:

  • A minimum of 1 year Labor and Delivery experience required
