Summary of Essential Job Duties
- Working in close collaboration with a diverse and high functioning team, The Transfer Center Nurse is a central contact for all incoming patient transfer requests to Cedars Sinai Medical Center.
- You will be responsible for the coordination of all Transfer Center functions, including preadmission/admission screening, obtaining financial and medical clearance and working collaboratively with the sending facility representatives for safe and efficient transfers.
- The Transfer Center Nurse must have strong clinical skills to evaluate critical and non critical transfer requests.
- You will also utilize case management and utilization management skills to evaluate appropriateness of direct admits and incoming transfer as well expedite the transfer of our psychiatric patient population to inpatient Psychiatric Facilities.
