Job Description
Mission Community Hospital, a 145-bed acute care facility located in the San Fernando Valley, is currently searching for 2 RN full-time, Mid Shift, for the ER Unit.
Job Summary
Responsible for independently utilizing the nursing process to safely, therapeutically and efficiently care for a group of patients based on policies and procedures. Delivers individualized quality patient care through a coordinated team approach with physicians, staff, other departments, as well as the patient and their families. Complies with the California Nurse Practice Act, Article 2, Section
2725 of the Business and Professions Code.
Qualifications
General Job Requirements, Certifications & Knowledge
1. Current
license with the California State Nursing Board.
2. Ability
to interact with patients, families, physicians, ancillary services and
community resources and supportive agencies.
3. Ability
to maintain confidentiality – HIPPA
4. Efficient
level of organizational skills.
5. Proficient
frontline communication skills.
6. Demonstrated verbal
communication, critical thinking, and problem solving skills.
7. Proficient in computer operations.
8. Certifications required:
• BLS
• ACLS
• PALS
• NIHSS Certification
• FIRE CARD (within 90
days of hire),
• MAB (within 30 days of
hire)
• Advanced MAB (within
30 days of hire)
• Arrhythmia/Dysrhythmia
course – Preferred
