We are currently seeking a Registered Nurse per diem who can assist in both the operating room and patient recovery areas. We are looking for a Registered Nurse to join our team and provide pre-op and PACU services to our surgery patients. The ideal candidate will have experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings and be comfortable with surgery, however, we are willing to train if needed. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing patient care, assessing patient needs, administering medication during surgery, and educating patients on their post-recovery.

 

Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in a medical-surgical setting.
  • Provide pre- and post-operative care for surgical patients.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians during surgery.
  • Interpret results from pre-op reports.
  • Monitor vital signs and provide patient education.

Qualifications

  • Must be a Registered Professional Nurse with current licensure
  • CPR, ACLS, and BCLS Certification
  • Knowledge of OSHA, FDA, and HIPAA compliance
