Reg-Respiratory Therapist, Full-time, Day

We Are Hiring: $10,000 sign-on bonus Looking for Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our RT care team at AMITA Health St Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates.

Full-time (36hrs per week), Day shift, rotating schedule New Grads Welcome AMITA Health St.

Alexius Medical Center Hoffman Estates is a 318-licensed-bed, state-of-the-art facility that offers the latest in surgical services, including da Vinci Robotic Assisted Surgery; Level III Perinatal services with a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU); and access to top doctors in heart and vascular care, cancer care, womens health and beyond.

Recognized as a Blue Distinction Center in bariatric surgery, maternity services, spinal surgery and joint replacement, AMITA Health St.

Alexius Medical Center Hoffman Estates has also received a five-star rating from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).

This role is eligible for a $10,000 sign-on bonus , provided you successfully complete all pre-employment requirements subject to the terms and conditions of the offer.

Former associates of six months or less, and current associates are not eligible.

What You Will Do: Provide evaluation of and care for patients with respiratory insufficiencies.

Assess patient for appropriate type and frequency of treatment and develops a plan of care based on diagnosis.

Implement and monitor patient care plan and equipment.

Monitor, record and communicate patient condition.

Perform advanced respiratory care modalities.

Evaluate respiratory practice, administration of medications, and treatment based on patient outcome.

Educate the patient and family about the health condition and provides information about community support groups and other available programs.

Respond to emergency resuscitation team code.

What You Will Need: Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Respiratory Care Practitioner credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained within 4 Months (120 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.

Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred.

Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred.

Pediatric Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred.

Respiratory Therapist specializing in Critical Care credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) preferred.

Respiratory Therapist specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) preferred.

Respiratory Therapist specializing in Registered credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) preferred.

ACCS (Adult Critical Care Specialist) from NBRC preferred.

Education: High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate’s degree, or Technical degree required.

Additional Preferences: No additional preferences.
