Radiation Therapist

Responsibilities

The UCLA Department of Radiation Oncology pushes back the boundaries that limit ordinary clinical cancer treatment through the application of thoughtful discovery-based, novel treatment strategies.

As
a Chief Radiation Therapist, you will supervise
the technical operation of our Radiation Oncology Department. This includes external
beam treatment, brachytherapy, CT/MR simulator, and simulations. In addition to
supervising therapists and trainees, you will oversee the development and
monitoring of a robust quality assurance program. This role will involve managing
patient scheduling, problem resolution, staffing, operations, treatment
planning and dose calculation. You will supervise the performance of a wide
variety of technical therapeutic procedures as well as personally perform
therapy duties. You will also handle a variety of key administrative duties,
including performance improvement initiatives, billing, external beam
scheduling, chart rounds and more.

Qualifications

We’re seeking a strong leader with ARRT/CRT certification and:

* Five or more years of experience as a radiation therapist

* Previous management experience strongly preferred

* Experience with Varian Aria Oncology Information System and EPIC Electronic Health Records a plus

The ideal candidate will also be proficient with the following technology:

* Varian Truebeam, Novalis Tx, Trilogy, or Halcyon

* Accuray Tomotherapy

* Viewray MRIdian
