The Keck School of Medicine of USC is hiring a Protocol Coordinator/Research Nurse with expertise in diabetes for our research studies at our West Los Angeles research site
The Protocol Coordinator work very closely with the research Principal Investigator and leads various research projects including: Conducts patient recruitment.
Explains study to patients and potential patients and verifies eligibility.
Ensures that all applicable forms and other required paperwork are completed including study consents.
Interacts with patients and families to ensure study compliance.
Schedules tests, study visits and follows through on completion and return of results.
Collects and processes specimens for transport to laboratories.
Completes study related questionnaires.
Enters study data into study database.
Monitors study expenses and manages subject incentive payments.
Attends study meetings.
Many of our research subject are Spanish speaking, thus being bilingual in English and Spanish is highly desired.

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree, Combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education
Minimum Experience: 1 year
Minimum Field of Expertise: Registered Nurse, California Registered Nurse license, current CPR certification, and clinical experience or clinical research experience.
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with patients and their families, other medical staff and administrative personnel.
