Project Manager – Medical Management

The Project Manager will support initiatives and projects across a broad array of clinically relevant areas including those that relate to managing populations of patients and bringing greater value to care, clinical effectiveness and appropriateness, clinical safety and quality, patient experience, and physician wellbeing, among others.

The manager will play a meaningful role in supporting collaborative endeavors that may involve many different disciplines and both clinical and administrative personnel.

The manager will ensure the coordination of tasks and the completion of deliverables, will assist with research and data analysis to support projects and efforts, and will play a key role in communication efforts around different initiatives.

The ability to track and manage multiple projects, communicate effectively, and a desire to learn are indispensable in this role.

Job Duties and Responsibilities: Proactively manage projects by using critical project management thinking skills
– including but not limited to establishing scope of work and project plan, facilitating teamwork and communication between sub-groups, managing timelines for project tasks, including mitigation of risks as necessary, reporting, ensuring goals are tracked and met, and effectively coordinating activities with project team.

Complete projects independently or with appropriate staff.

Generate clinical reports and dashboards for management decision-making including identifying trends, outliers or other elements of interest.

Research complex business or organizational questions and data issues to support various quality improvement and population health programs and present findings or analyses clearly and concisely to appropriate parties.

Assist with the identification, retrieval, manipulation, and analysis of data necessary to make decisions to support pivotal initiatives and ongoing program management activities.

Prepare materials for physician and staff educational purposes and for patient education purposes Take meeting notes and prepare materials for meetings.

Support Facilitators, Managers, and Directors in Department on projects to improve processes and performance in CSMN.

Assist management and executive staff with other special projects and functions as necessary.

Coordinate meetings between CSMN management team and physicians and staff.

Perform normative administrative duties efficiently such as printing, faxing, scanning, and compiling documents.

Other duties as assigned.

Education:
High school diploma required.

Bachelor or Master’s degree preferred in a healthcare, computer science, business or other technical field.

License/Certification: Project Management certification preferred.

Lean experience or certification preferred.

Experience: Four (4) years of experience preferred.

Experience in healthcare reporting preferred.

Proven experience and demonstrated success in managing sophisticated projects in a matrix organization and program implementation.

Extensive knowledge of PC applications, particularly relational databases and spreadsheets is vital.

Reads, writes, interprets, and explains technical or complex information.

Communicates effectively in all mediums, including verbal, non-verbal, and especially written.

Communicates, writes, advises, and counsels on extremely complex matters.
