We are seeking a Project Manager – Companion Diagnostics (CDX) – Clinical Trials to be accountable for managing a team in the Los Angeles area. The lab is located at 19750 S Vermont Ave, Torrance, CA 90502. The Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Diagnostic Development Services team members, acting as a primary escalation point of contact with the Diagnostic Sponsors and the PM Global Study Managers assigned to the Pharma Sponsor. The Supervisor ensures successful management of diagnostic studies and their related clinical trial projects through compliance in order to deliver Signature Client Service. The role contributes to the ongoing training and development of assigned team members and reports into the Global Team Manager.
Supervision duties:

Supervise the day-to-day operations of the assigned client team members.

Oversee the management of diagnostic study milestones and proactive communication with diagnostic clients.

Manage the workload balance within their team and assist the Team Manager in supervising the day-to-day operations of the DDS global study management team.

Provide direct supervision to employees, including assignments, technical and behavioral performance counseling.

Ensure appropriate resource allocation to successfully implement and execute diagnostic studies and related projects plans to achieve agreed upon service levels.

Establish and monitor performance objectives.
General duties:

Ensure the development of a competent workforce to meet growth plans within budget.

Ensure the consistent implementation, use, and review of SOPs.

Ensure the seamless integration of the Diagnostic Development Services team activities.

Ensure a close collaboration with the PM Study Management team, the laboratory testing sites and the internal departments supporting Diagnostic services.

Ensure that the tracking and monitoring systems are updated to accurately reflect workload, timelines and capacity forecasting.

Instill and manage a culture of continuous improvement, quality, and productivity
Internal/External Client duties:

Work with the appropriate Account Executive to understand the culture and pipeline of assigned diagnostic customer(s).

Work across functional departments and across laboratory testing sites to remove barriers and optimize client delivery consistency.

Monitor and track resolution of all diagnostic client complaints, issues and concerns related to the diagnostic studies and related projects of its assigned direct reports. Manage and ensure the resolution of such instances in collaboration with the Team Manager.

Ensure issues are documented and leveraged to prevent repeat occurrence.

Ensure the team and department meet client expectations in order to deliver outstanding customer satisfaction and Service Excellence

Oversee the management of diagnostic client visits.

Oversee the management of Client Audit related to Diagnostic studies reports and taking corrective action where appropriate.
Experience Required:
-
5 years of clinical laboratory experience or customer service experience, preferable in pharmaceutical or medical device industry. Experience with multidisciplinary lab background is a plus.

2 years of leadership experience.
Education Required:
-
BS degree in Biology, Chemistry or other Life Science; or Medical Technology degree.
