Product Manager, Medical Billing

The Product Manager, Medical Billing will be responsible for owning the development of this company’s next generation medical billing system from the ground-up.

This role will gather and synthesize requirements from stakeholders, propose solutions, define tickets, and work with the Engineering team to build software to automate billing processes.

The ideal candidate has prior experience in managing medical billing systems, claims and eligibility software, and has a deep understanding of medical coding and the role of billers.

This individual is passionate about making a meaningful impact and improving the most patient-friendly billing experience in the industry.

Required Skills & Experience BA or BSc in Accounting, Finance, Business, Engineering or Technology related field Minimum 5 years experience in Medical Billing role, ideally a technical role building billing systems Prior Product Management experience in an Agile environment Experience writing product requirements in tickets (JIRA, or other similar system) Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and able to effectively work with various teams and stakeholders In-depth knowledge or experience in the following areas: Translating EOB Applying a fee schedule Able to discern when a deductible or coinsurance should be applied Understand when a claim is scrubbed/failed/rejected/paid Knowledge of where to find codes and what codes to apply based on age/services rendered Knowledge of HCFA forms Knowledge of when a claim needs to be refunded or is billed incorrectly vs coded incorrectly Understanding of insurance eligibility The Offer Competitive Salary: 150k You will receive the following benefits: Medical, dental, vision PTO Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis now and in the future.
