PK & Clinical Pathology Technician

The PK & Clinical Pathology Technician is responsible for ensuring that all test and control articles, reagents, and solutions are received, logged, properly stored and available for use in pre-clinical studies when needed; Packaging samples for shipment in accordance with applicable regulations; Preparation of dosing solutions/suspensions according to client specifications for use in preclinical studies; Processing and analysis of clinical pathology samples.Principal Duties and ResponsibilitiesReceive all incoming test articles/substances, reagents and samples.Ensure that the documentation for the use of all test articles/substances and vehicles/reagents to ensure consistency and correctness.Maintain cleanliness and general appearance of the Formulations and Clinical Pathology Laboratory.Ensure that test article/substance(s) from completed studies are returned to the sponsor as needed.Prepare accurate packing list and shipments of test article/substances and samples to the sponsor and/or analytical laboratories.

Notify appropriate personnel of shipments.Maintain an up to date inventory of reagents, test article/substance, vehicles and samples.Participate in analysis of samples submitted for serum chemistry and hematology.Preparation of test article/substance dosage solution/suspension(s) using protocol defined proceduresDocument all activities per ASC procedures.Responds to Quality Control/Quality Assurance audits of preparation procedures, calculations, and documentation.Perform other duties as assigned by management.Candidate Requirements:Associate’s degree (A.A./A.S.) or Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) in related discipline.Experience: 1-3 years related experience in a laboratory role.An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.Position requires good communication skills and attention to detail.Proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel.Strong work ethic, self-motivation, and ability to adapt in a dynamic team environment are keys for success.BenefitsAbsorption Systems cares about our work community and offers a variety of benefits allowing employees the opportunity to customize a benefits package that meets their personal needs.
