Physician Assistant – Homeless Healthcare Collaborative

Responsibilities

The Homeless Healthcare Collaborative PA will provide and coodinate the care of patients experiencing homelessness, provide patient/family education, and promote safe continuity of care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team. The PA also provides education and support, as well as makes appropriate referrals and documents services rendered. The PA will also supervise pre-licensure and APRN nursing students, medical students, and public health students. The PA will share the responsibility of driving the mobile unit

***This is one APP position that will be filled as either a PA or NP (NP req29667) ***

Salary range: $70.65-$95.07 Hourly

Qualifications

Required:

  • Active license to practice as a Physician Assistant in California and must possess certification as Certified PhysicianAssistant through NCCPA -Required
  • Degree from accredited Physician Assistant Program -Required ( Master’s Degree from a PA program preferred)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Red Cross or American Heart Association -required
  • Valid CA driver’s license -required
  • A minimum of 1 year experience as a PA -required
  • Previous PA experience including but not limited to ambulatory care/clinics, emergency department or urgent care settings-required
  • Ability to utilize excel, word and other software programs- required
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and collaborative working relationships with administrative, clinical and academic personnel -required
  • Skill in working independently and following through with minimum direction -required
  • Ability to set priorities-required
  • Demonstrate writing skills to compose logical, detailed and grammatically correct correspondence- required
  • Document patient care in a concise and comprehensive manner -required
  • Preferred:
    Bilingual Spanish-English proficiency- preferred
    Experience working in a low-resource and/or community setting-preferred
