Approves selection of all physical therapy and Rehabilitation Services personnel and reviews their performance evaluations.Directs and delegates the implementation of training programs for physicians, nursing staff, affiliate and graduate students, allied health personnel, and the physical therapy staff.Directs research applicable to the development and improvement of therapy services.Develops and directs educational programs for the USC School of Medicine Continuing Education Division.RequirementsSELECTION REQUIREMENTS:A Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy acceptable to the Commission on Accreditation on Physical Therapy Education of the American Physical Therapy Association and approved by the Physical Therapy Board of California* -AND
– Three (3) years of physical therapy experience at the level of Physical Therapy Supervisor II** or higher.**Experience at the level of a Physical Therapy Supervisor II in the County of Los Angeles is defined as: Manages physical therapy services in several treatment units or programs in an acute, rehabilitation, or psychiatric hospital or clinic; manages multiple aspects of the physical therapy program in an acute, rehabilitation, or psychiatric hospital or clinic; or manages physical and occupational therapy services in several therapy units within California Children’s Services.LICENSE:A license to practice as a Physical Therapist issued by the Physical Therapy Board of California.*A valid California Class C Driver License or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions.PHYSICAL CLASS II – Light: Light physical effort which may include occasional light lifting to a 10 pound limit, and some bending, stooping or squatting.
