Pharmacy Technician – Vaccine Clinic

The USC School of Pharmacy is seeking to hire pharmacy technicians to provide vaccine related services to sustain the community COVID-19 Vaccine Clinics operated through the schools partnership with the City of LA.

Job duties:
Reconstitute / draw up vaccine doses into syringes under supervision of pharmacist Administer vaccinations under supervision of pharmacist Assist in ensuring full compliance with mitigation measures to limit virus spread (distancing, mask wearing, etc.) Assist with procedures for vaccine administration and post-administration surveillance are followed Perform other vaccine-related duties as needed Document patient appointments, screening forms, and vaccine administration records as needed Manage inventory, including vaccine supply and auxiliary kits as needed Able to work mornings, evenings, and/or weekends as needed

Required qualifications:
Active pharmacy technician license in California Completion of approved immunization certification course (Training/Certification provided) Current CPR/ BLS certification

Vaccination clinic sites: Lincoln Park and Dodger Stadium.

Schedule/Hours:

Monday Saturday (varies); 8 hours per day/40 hours per week

Shifts: 8:00 am 4:00 pm; 6:00 am -2:00 pm; 1:00 pm 9:00 pm

Minimum Education: Specialized/technical training Minimum Experience: 1 year Minimum Field of Expertise: Completion of accredited pharmacy technician training program or equivalent experience as per Board of Pharmacy technician regulations, sec.

Knowledge of pharmacy law, rules, regulations, pharmacology & medical terminology, manufacturing procedures.

Valid Pharmacy Technician Certificate of Registration, State of California.
