Pharmacy Technician – Inpatient

Rx relief is seeking a Pharmacy Technician – Inpatient to work in a hospital setting in Riverside, CA area in a NON-Classified COVID-19 Facility. We are looking to fill this position quickly!

Pay and Compensation for

Pharmacy Technician – Inpatient :

$30.00 Depending on Experience

Pharmacy Technician – Inpatient Benefits:

Pharmacy Technician – Inpatient Job Specifics and Requirements:

  • Must be able to work in the Riverside, CA area
  • Must have valid, clear, and active California Pharmacy Technician license – (PTCB not required, but preferred)
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of Pharmacy Technician experience, Hospital experience is a plus
  • Experience in Inpatient/ IV/ Oncology is a plus
  • Background and Drug Screening
  • Health Screening will be required
  • Must provide proof of Covid 19 vaccine

Pharmacy Technician – Inpatient Work Schedule:

  • Time – Schedule Varies – Day and Afternoon shifts available
  • Monday-Friday/ Weekends
  • Temporary to Permanent

Job Requirements:

  • Pharmacy Technician – Inpatient Responsibilities:

    • Accurate and timely preparation of medications which may include selection, labeling, repackaging, non-sterile compounding, and sterile compounding.
    • Accurate and timely delivery of medications to the appropriate storage locations.
    • Maintains accurate and appropriate inventories of medications and supplies.
    • Accurate and efficient operations of PYXIS/ OMNICELL cabinets
    • Accurately and timely completion of assigned inventory audits such as cycle counts and nursing unit inspections.
    • Maintains a safe and clean work area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
    • Documents regulatory requirements such as temperature logs, scheduled activities, and training in an accurate and timely manner.
    • Communicates with other caregivers and patients in an effective and positive manner.
    • Demonstrates emotional control and intelligence in managing work relationships.
    • Appropriately uses information systems, technology, and automation to complete assigned tasks.
    • Ability to perform algebraic calculations necessary for the preparation of extemporaneous compounds.
    • Proficient in basic computer skills.
