Overview: A California registered technician who under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist maintains drug inventories, patient medication profiles, prepares medications, issues medications in the appropriate manner to patient care areas, restocks medications, and assists the pharmacists in all other areas of drug distribution as needed and allowed by State Law.
Assists the pharmacist in providing pharmaceutical care to patients.
Complies with applicable laws and regulations.
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent preferredHas completed a course of training for pharmacy technicians as specified by the California Board of PharmacyMinimum one (1) year acute care experience in hospital pharmacy preferredKnowledge of basic computer systems and keyboard useIV compounding and sterile technique experience is requiredCurrent certification as a registered technician by the California State Board of Pharmacy.
