PURPOSE: Responsible for inputting orders in a timely and accurate manner according to workflow deadlines and ensuring that it meets prescription requirements.
SHIFT SCHEDULE: 9am to 6pm. Some overtime on Saturdays are occasionally required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
– Stock, pick, label, fill and pack prescriptions in accordance with rules and regulations
– Verify the correct drug/supply is being dispensed for the prescription order
– Ensure working station and department area is clean and neat
– Identify prescription order errors and problems, and consult with pharmacists and management
– Fulfill orders in a timely and accurate manner to meet business goals and deadlines
– Ability to maintain sensitive patient information and comply with HIPAA regulations
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
– Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
– Professional and disciplined work habits (time & attendance, following company policies, strong work ethics, etc.)
– Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
– Ability to work independently with minimal guidance
– Ability to work collaboratively in a team
– Ability to act with urgency, ownership and follow-through
– Strong prioritizing, multi-tasking, time management and organization skills
– Competency using office equipment and operating technology systems
EDUCATION & LICENSE REQUIREMENTS:
– High school graduate or equivalent
– Licensed Pharmacy Technician by the CA State Board of Pharmacy in good standing is required.
